Cracker is a consistent 2D barrel horse outside and consistent 1D inside is where he excels, and just needs some more seasoning to become seasoned outside. Perfect high school/college rodeo horse. He does know poles but hasn't ran them for several years. Also started in heading on the heel-o-matic and is ready to start on live steers. Ran 2/10 off of Maggie Poloncic on Puff, tipped to be 2nd place at the Cottonwood Equestrian Center in September. Has the potential to be a pro rodeo barrel and head horse if made a priority. He has always been on the back-burner due to riding home-raised horses.
Just this month he was pulled out of roping training to run at college rodeos for a girl who's horse couldn't run. They have been qualifying for the short rounds and placing, with a girl that's never ridden him prior to competing him. He ran only 2/10 off of Tayla Moeykins on her good horse at the local open rodeos. He hasn't required any maintenance. No silly business, safe for almost anyone to ride but is not for a beginner rider for barrel racing because he is fast and powerful, and I'd love for him to go have a big successful career. Here's a more mature gelding for your consideration that has not had his legs run off. Disclosure that he is parrot mouthed, it does not affect him, he is not a hard keeper. Just needs his teeth maintained annually, like any other horse. We have maintained him with chiropractic, just recently injected his hocks and SI's for the first time.
