OWNER
ASPEN COK
Raised in Bozeman, MT, I discovered my passion for horses at a very young age. After years of begging, I finally started taking riding lessons when I was 8yrs old. I got my first barrel horse when I was 11yrs old and the rest is history! For years I ran multiple horses in jackpots and high school rodeo, competing and keeping up with the best of them. After high school, I took off a few years and just worked until I was ready to go back to college at 25. I chose University Of Montana Western's Natural Horsemanship program with a focus option in Business Management. I took classes including but not limited to training, colt starting, equine reproduction, equine science, and others. These classes taught me what I need to know about horses from simple to advanced care and nutrition, as well as the best training methods to achieve your goals. I have now dedicated my time to running my business, which involves breeding and foaling mares, raising horses, and training horses from day one through the rest of their careers. I did my college internship with 24-time World Champion barrel racer, Lance Graves, and have applied his training techniques to my program. I keep in touch with him and other reputable trainers in the industry and I always keep my mind and program open to new ideas. I have also taken clinics from Ryan Lovendahl, Ed Wright, Lynn McKenzie, Sarah Rose McDonald and others. My late father always said: "When you love what you do, you don't work a day in your life!" |
TRAINER
MICHELLE LUCKE
Michelle was born and raised in Bozeman, MT and grew up riding and training horses for various trainers and ranches throughout Montana. Wanting to add to her experience, she attended the equine program at Miles City College, eventually transferring to the University Of Montana Western to complete her Natural Horsemanship degree with a focus option in Business Management, all while working different jobs and training client horses. The program added to her already solid knowledge and experience in training. Michelle started working for Heart C Barrel Horses in the summer of 2016, adopting the Lance Graves methods of barrel training with a twist in Natural Horsemanship. Michelle has also taken clinics from notable barrel horse trainers such as Ryan Lovendahl. Between her extensive experience training colts and barrel horses, Michelle was a perfect addition to the team! |
